Whether chilling out at a yacht rock music festival or dressing up as your favorite super hero is your jam, this list showcases ten (10) events from around the world worth knowing.

Events below are listed by date and not by any sort of favorability.

Electric Daisey Carnival (EDC): May 19-21, Las Vegas NV (USA)

EDC Las Vegas is one of the biggest electronic events around, so it’s no shock that it’s returning for the umpteenth year. Music fans from all over the world flock to this three day event filled with colorful lights, world famous DJs and a variety of over-the-top stage displays.

Country Fest: June 22-24, Cadott WI (USA)

One of the longest running country music festivals, Country Fest is a staple event for country music lovers of all ages. The huge festival grounds see some of the biggest counts of A-list artists and is know for catapulting up and comers into the limelight. It’s a hot one (literally), so be sure to bring your camper with a fully functional AC and stocked to the nines with water.

Burning Man: August 27-September 4, Black Rock Desert NV (USA)

An event meant to build community and share neighborly love, artistic expression and acceptance, Burning Man is a week-long desert event bringing in free spirts from all over the world. Despite whispers of A-listers distracting from the intent of Burning Man, it’s still a beloved event by almost 100,000 participants who whole true to its meaning.

Rolling Loud: July 7-9, Munich (Germany)

Rolling Loud is the world’s largest rap festival and will make its highly anticipated German grand debut July 2023. A staple to the USA festival scene, Rolling Loud expands outward across Europe and Asia in 2023 and features the A-list and up and coming of rap music.

Comic-Con International: July 20-23, San Diego CA (USA)

Though you can find Comic-Con all over the world, the San Diego event is perhaps the most famous of all Comic-Con events. Centrally located by some of the world’s biggest celebrities and production houses, the San Diego event brings thousands of cosplayer, tons of sneak previews and a plethera of panels most comic and animation fans will swoon over.

Yacht Week: August 12-18, Croatia

Yacht Week is exactly what it it sounds like, but so so so much more. Spend a week sailing, partying and dining around the islands of Croatia with some of your new best friends from all over the globe. Croatia is the OG event, but it’s since spread to multiple locations, and is the ultimate party at sea.

Curveball: August 17-19, Watkins Glen NY (USA)

Already sold out, Phish’s Curveball is the ultimate yacht rock experience. Eleven years running, but the first time to be called “Curveball,” this festival is one of the more laid back, chillaxing experiences you can have at a music festival. Be sure to bring plenty of rain gear, as this part of town is known to get a little wet this time of year.

Albuquerque Intl. Balloon Fiesta: October 7-15, Albuquerque NM (USA)

Visitors from all over the world come to both fly and partake in events at the Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta. With a very affordable entry point ($15 USD) and tons of activity all week long, the hot air balloon festival is a must do event. Have some wine and set up a picnic while watching the balloons go up at dusk, show up early for a pre-sunrise drone show, hang around for a chainsaw carving auction and more.

When We Were Young: October 21-22, Las Vegas NV (USA)

When We Were Young is the quintessential festival for the skater boys and emo kids of the early 2000s, when Dashboard Confessional ruled our emotions and New Found Glory opened the gateway to all things Drive Thru Records. Although both days sold out well in advance, be sure to check out the WWWY site and Stubhubs of the world closer to date if you want another shot in.
