100% humidity with a high of 100 degrees is cool and all, but these new and return menu items are here to be the start of your summer. From tropical refreshers to chip dusted cupcakes to ranch soaked melty goodness, there’s something for everybody our our quick hit list of Summer 2023 new menu items.

Got a suggestion? Want us to make a correction? Please leave feedback here!

  1. Starbucks has added two new drinks to their menu and reminded me to hide this month’s bank statement: the Chocolate Java Mint Frappuccino and the White Chocolate Macadamia Cream Cold Brew.
  2. Dunkin’ Donuts continues to lure me away from Starbucks and released a bevy of new refreshers and lattes, including the Turtle Signature Latte, Butter Pecan Crunch Frozen Coffee and Raspberry Watermelon Refresher.
  3. Chik-fil-A tosses a nod to early 2000s R&B group 112 (well, in my mind they are…) by releasing a peaches and cream inspired Peach Milkshake on June 12th.
  4. Sonic knows the fastest way to my wallet and is releasing the Strawberry Shortcake Snowball Slush Float, which automatically has my vote, because …. cake.
  5. Taco Bell moved into my heart years ago and renewed its vows by giving us the Watermelon Berry Lemonade Freeze, which you can try for $1 during one of their daily Happier Hours (2p.m. – 5p.m.).
  6. Sheetz is updating their drinks, allowing beverage experimentalists to add boba pearls to all lemonade and refresherz drinks (including Red Bull). They’re starting with mango, but keep an eye out for new flavors (fingers crossed).

  1. Turns out Jimmy John’s think tank consists of me and only me, because their new summer wrap is centered around my love of ranch – the Jalapeño Ranch Chicken Wrap. Honorable mentions go out to the return of the Chicken Caesar and Thai Chicken Wraps.
  2. It’s like Jimmy John’s and Wendy’s are in cahoots because new this summer at Wendy’s is the Ghost Pepper Ranch Chicken Sandwich and Ghost Pepper Fries.
  3. Chipotle released their new chicken al pastor in a bid to get me to continue my tradition of Chipotle Sunday.
  4. Shake Shack unveils their new Veggie Shack, a new vegetarian option featuring a variety of ingredients my doctor insists should be a part of my every day diet.
  5. Arby’s isn’t traditionally in the market for burgers, but I guess enough people thought they were good enough so enter the Deluxe Wagyu and Bacon Ranch Wagyu Steakhouse Burgers.
  6. I haven’t forgiven Taco Bell since they killed off the Chili Cheese Burrito, but I go back every week trying to find forgiveness. Maybe their new Steak Chili Verde Fries will do the trick.

  1. Continuing our ride on the Wendy’s train is the return of the Strawberry Frosty, ousting vanilla from its throne next to chocolate for the rest of summer.
  2. McDonalds remains the king of “Fast Food Where’s Waldo” by releasing their new Strawberry Shortcake McFlurry, which rewards you with a treat if you find an ice cream machine that works.
  3. Krispy Kreme reached into the donut crypt and are bringing back fan favorites Strawberries and KremeTM, Chocolate KremeTM, Banana Pudding and Key Lime Pie flavor donuts.
  4. That keto diet can wait another day, because Dairy Queen released two new blizzards – Peanut Butter Puppy Chow and Oreo Brookie – and you can’t properly cheat unless it’s served upside down.
  5. Next time I go to BJ’s I’ll be so full that I can barely sashay out of the booth, but (*twist my arm*) I guess I’ll have to top it with their new Confetti Pizookie.
  6. For a very, VERY (6/9-6/11) limited time Sprinkles will test our tastebuds with the Flamin’ Hot Cheetos Cupcake, which Cheeto dusts a white cheddar iced vanilla cupcake.
